Solution for IOS fixed IP

In case I'm not the only one: I wanted to set fixed IPs on four IOS devices (two iPhones, two iPads), but the fixed IPs wouldn't "stick." I'd set static IPs in the Wifi configuration dialogs, but they'd revert to DHCP. The static IPs stuck after I also changed the DNS setting from Automatic to Manual, using the Firewalla LAN address as Primary DNS and 8.8.8.8 as Secondary.

  Did you follow this to reserve the IP? https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004304054-Device-Management#h_93f11f96-24f3-4181-aa19-d2dac0f16368

  When you are reserving, you will need to make sure no other device is using that IP

  Great information. Thank you. I knew I could reserve a DHCP-supplied IP, but I specifically wanted a fixed IP. My post addresses an IOS-specific problem that disrupts Firewalla's device list.
