Duckduckgo not resolving with Safe Search enabled
Hi,
I'm a new owner of a FWG. I would like to enable the Safe Search feature for all of my devices. The issue that I'm running into is that my FWG is not resolving duckduckgo.com when Safe Search is on. I only get:
This site can’t be reached
duckduckgo.com’s DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem.
DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE
All of my searches turned up in FW help turned up nothing. Everything says Safe Search for DDG should behave properly.
Thanks

Did you search for "duckduckgo.com" or you type https://duckduckgo.com? try the later one and see. Safesearch will only block search ..

I manually typed in safe.duckduckgo.com - that worked. Then I tried https://duckduckgo.com again, and it appears to work. Maybe the safe DNS wasn't registered previously and going directly there helped? I don't know. It's working for now, so we'll see.
Thanks

More data...
With Safe Search OFF I can ping duckduckgo.com and get a reply from 52.149.246.39. I can also ping safe.duckduckgo.com and get a reply from 52.149.247.1.
Once I enable Safe Search and ping duckduckgo.com - initially I see "Ping request could not find duckduckgo.com." That is persistent until I follow this next step.
If I ping safe.duckduckgo.com, I get reply back from 52.149.247.1.
Then if I go back and ping duckduckgo.com again, I get replies back from 52.149.247.1 (the safe server).
All of that makes sense except for the ping to duckduckgo.com initially not finding the host when Safe Search is enabled.

Are you using Windows? Firewalla will return CNAME safe.duckduckgo.com to the DNS query for duckduckgo.com when SafeSearch is enabled. There is an issue that Windows won't continue to send DNS query for safe.duckduckgo.com.
