Is there a way to configure a firewalla without a WAN connection.
I live on the West coast but have family on the east coast. I bought a purple for the east coast home, but cant seem to add it to my phone without it actually being on the wan. I know it will DHCP an address and i want it in bridge mode, seems like i should be able to add it to my firewalla management software so that when my wife plugs it in it will just work, or at least i could taker her through the steps.

A valid WAN connection is required for pairing. In your case, what you can do is setup the unit at a place with internet (I assume it is DHCP), and then you can just plug into the new place.
If your new place has PPPoE (for example), you can go near the unit, tap on network button and edit the WAN configuration at the new place.
