Firewalla not seeing new devices connecting to wifi

I have a firewalla gold SE. I have connected my Optimum modem/router combo to firewalls port 3 (since I have multiple WANs). From there, I have a TP Link Deco wifi connected to firewalla via unmanaged switch. For some reason, firewalla does not see any new devices connecting to the wifi. The TP Link app sees new devices though. BTW, I was not able to get the optimum modem/router combo into bridge mode. And I'm still using the firewalla as a router. So I am having a double nat issue. Could that be the issue?

  Do you see network flows that are coming from your WiFi devices? When you tap on one of those flows, what device does it show as the source?

  If it shows your TP-Link as the source device, the TP-Link is not configured correctly. It should be configured as an access point (AP) and not as a router.

  you're right, I set up the TP link as a router.  I changed it and let's see if that fixes things.  Thanks!
