Did you reboot the the modem? if you did and that still doesn't work, check with your ISP, make sure they provisioned the static IP. (also check typo ..)

Static IP are really simple to implement, the probability of it broken is very very low.

That’s what I don’t understand — I was on the phone with them during the provisioning process and the ONT reset a number of times. I verified the new IP was correct in the fwg and the ISP could see that it had pulled the new IP address. On the fwg it showed no internet connection though. Is there something I’m missing?

I'm having the same issue. went from DHCP to static, the firewall no longer sees internet. a laptop plugged into modem with same static IP info sees internet just fine.

you can go near your firewalla, and then tap on network manager, see if you can run diagnostics. (edit: also check typo on gateway, subnetmask, DNS ...)

The most common problem with this is, you will need to reboot the modem after changing / adding / removing devices to the modem port. Modems sometimes will remember the previous device.

It won't even pair anymore, goes from flashing blue to flashing red, and setup failed. I need help.

did a full reset. checked with the isp on the documentation they sent, they had missed a digit in the IP range and gateway. All working now.

Great! We did encounter a couple of times when ISP's giving out the wrong IP, wrong network mask and wrong gateway ...

(when the lights goes from blue to red, it means the WAN side is not connecting)
