Homebridge doesn't resolve names

I have a weird issue. I can ping IPs, but not domain names.  This causing other issues with plugins. I did add the mDNS entry in the config, but it said that it was ignored and using Bind. Does anyone have any ideas?

  I fixed it by adding DNS in the resolv file. It's odd how it was empty.
