Price is unknown at the moment; it is likely to be more expensive than what we listed. (memory shortage, EMMC shortage, PCB build cost, CPU shortage)
Firewalla Switch 10G (Switch X) Price > $600
- 8x10G RJ45 With POE++
- 4x10G SFP+
- Rack mountable
Firewalla Switch 2.5G (Switch SE) Price > $300
- 8x2.5G RJ45 with PoE+
- 2x10G SFP+

Firewalla App 1.69.1 Will Support Both Switches

firewalla Understood. BTW, I really like the half width design of the Netgear M4300-16x switches. I have two, and for my home network I stack them vertically in a mini/narrow rack that's 10" wide. But in an enterprise, there's a mounting kit two mount two side by side in a normal 19" rack. Love that flexibility. I'll be keeping my M4300-16x switches until Firewalla has a 16 port 2.5G offering.

Has any specs been produced on these switches or performance metrics? What is the throughput in switching capacity? Is it non-blocking as in full line speed through a switch chip and if so what is that rate? Forwarding rate? Will it have both a CPU and Switch Chip? If so, what are the models? How much RAM/Storage? Most importantly will it also require VLAN 1 for management like the AP7's? Thanks

Here is an early image of Switch X (10G) and Switch SE (2.5G). We are still gathering materials for the first build, and given what's happening in the world, things are much, much slower than usual. (We are hoping to get at least one unit out (beta) in July, and if we are lucky, we will get two)
Reference price is >300 for SE, and >600 for 10G. Final price will likely be higher (hopefully not much) due to CPU / memory / emmc shortage, and price increases in transportation, PCB, and even the outside metal cage.

Any chance there will be larger port capacity switches coming in the near future? I'm sitting at 36 ports in my home right now and would likely run 1 x Switch X and 4 x Switch SE to get my capacity.
Secondly, if someone like me buys 5 switches should we run the SFP+ ports as a ring or each switch back to the core?Third, what is the width of the SE? Can 2 of them sit side by side on a shelf in a standard 19" rack even though they are not mountable?
-
We can't change any of these models due to the unusual situations with AI and the world. So it will like be either both units, or one of the units ... We are hoping for both ...
If you create a ring, then STP will break one of the links ... do you intend to do that?
SE is wider than 10 inch, you can't place them side by side.
Only the X is rack mountable. (it will come with ears ... unless we have a iron shortage coming up ...)

How wide is the SE? Can a FW gold sit next to it in a standard 19" rack? If so, it might becool cool to 3d print something that can sit on tray to look something like this:

I'll certainly be getting 2 of the 2.5G units 😀
There's one simple detail that I'd like to see, which is the Firewalla flame logo next to the name. My AP7s don't have it and it makes the Firewalla logo on the front of the units look very plain. It feels like a missed opportunity to add a little colour.

Switches will be configured via the Firewalla App. See https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/28643907379091/comments/52088628573075
If you are using the firewalla paid MSP interface, shortly after the release, you can also configure it there.
There is no plan for a cli interface. Any reason you need this? we been trying to avoid cli since we started.
