Is there a Wifi 6 adapter that would work as the Wifi SD is Wifi 5? If so, what Firewalla models support it?

You want to use this for WAN or Access Point? (No, we do not have anything beyond the WiFi SD)

I have a WiFi WAN that I want to access with my Firewalla Purple (OG v1), but the speed is limited. I guessed it was only WiFi 5. Is that correct?

It would also be nice to use any faster adapter for Access Point if I could.

In general, I would like to upgrade my WiFi in the Purple.

Today, I want to connect to a WiFi 6e network using 6 GHz. Shortly, it will be WiFi 7 using 6 GHz. I want to explore how to upgrade from WiFi 5 in my Purple. Is that capability modular as I hope (as the basic functionality of the Purple is fine) or am looking at a new solution from Firewalla?

the purple wifi was made for travel; are you looking for something that will be used in a work place? Are you bridging wifi (WAN) and ethernet (LAN)? or you want WiFi WAN + WiFi LAN?

I think you misunderstand me. I am connecting to a home router to isolate a homelab from the rest of the household. Currently, the WAN connects via a WiFi (5?) network I defined on the Purple. The home router has WiFi 6e now and may soon have WiFi 7. I get the best speed using 6 GHz. I am asking about upgrading that connection.

However, it would be nice if an upgraded WiFi on the Purple  WAN could also be used for the LAN as I am guessing they are just virtual interfaces and not separate radios/antennas. Is that correct?

At another location, I use a Firewalla Gold as a home router. Does that fit within the design?
