Firewalla Purple - Red Status Light (Will not factory reset or reflash)
Hi all, I had a power outage that appears to have occurred during a firmware update (it's also behind a surge protector) ... the Firewalla has since not worked... I can't get access via the mobile app, cannot factory reset and have tried a reflash with two different SD cards - but still have a red status light...
It appeared to have a flashing blue light once after it was unplugged for more than 24 hours, however it was still flashing blue after 24 hours...
This is 4 months out of warranty and I'm being quoted $200USD for a fix..
Has anyone else experienced this? at the moment I've got a very expensive paper weight!
Does anyone have a fix for this? or could guide me in opening it up to take a look myself?

If the unit can't be brought up after a power outage, the probability that a power surge is very high; You probably want to double check your surge protector. Also, please remember, that the power surge can happen from the ethernet side as well, such as from your modem.
If you are not under warranty, the quote is likely to just replace the board with a new board. (power surges usually can blow up a significant amount of circuit) (it is definitely something that's NOT fixable by the user)
