Did you get it to work on Firewalla.

    in the data/controld folder

I ran the command sudo ./ctrld start —nextdns (then my ID) as stated on Github

That didn’t work for me as it stated —nextdns was an unknown flag.

    Thanks

I did get it to work. But I downloaded the latest version from GitHub and manually put it in /data/controld. Their installer wasn't installing the latest version (v1.3.2), which is when they added NextDNS support.

The benefit to me at least is that you can see the individual device names in the logs and use different profiles with different devices.

I would use ControlD itself, but NextDNS works with Tailscale natively.

I running this at the moment on my Firewalla Gold Plus, but it seems to stop working after a hour or so.  I have to restart the service.  Anyone else seeing this?

No, I've been having pretty good success with it. No issues thus far.

pbmu I just installed ctrld on my FWG and having some issues with device names. Are you seeing all your device names in NextDNS? I see most device names missing when I check the ctrld clients but I see them all using arp -a.
Also, are you using your lan IP or 127.0.0.1 in your firewalla lan network primary dns?
