WAN IP release
I have a question about releasing the WAN (ISP) IP address. I have the FW Gold+, and it's been working well for me (FiOS 1 gigabit). Recently, my home network is having massive problems (things dropping off, reconnection, etc) - WiFi and Wired.
I've replaced what I thought was a bad switch, but the issue has gotten worse, and now I am going to tear everything down and replace/reconnect one by one. While I don't suspect my Firewalla, I also want to replace it (Orbi RB50) just to see.
FiOS gets annoyed if you try and request a new IP from a new device and haven't released the old one (and I don't want to deal with calling their support).
Will the FW Gold+ release the WAN IP as part of a shutdown? And if not, is there a way I can force a DHCP release?
Thanks!
