Paramount+ (probably other content providers, too)
I have had 100% fail rate getting anything to stream from Paramount +. It worked a couple months ago. But it stopped and gives me error codes no matter if on my tv, phone, or desktop when connected to my FWG. I saw another post that talked about P+'s demand to only see the provider IP.
Truth - I'm a box of rocks about FWG. I don't have time to do anything but stay this way. Can someone explain to me how to work around this P+ thing in a step by step way because of the fact I have no IT degree and never done network work, please?

In the Firewalla box go to the device that you have the app installed on. Turn off monitorung for said device and confirm that Paramount+ works
Then pause all target list rules and turn off adblock.
Try the app again on said device. It should still work. Note down all the outgoing flows on the time. Screenshot is easier. Now slowly unpause each rule and keep checking. Yes its tedious.
If i remember rightly it will need more than one outgoing domain. When you find the culprits add them to a target list and create an allow rule on that target list.
If you're interested you can install this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.faircode.netguard
This will when enabled give you a list of domains that in your case the Paramount+ app is connecting too. Once again you need note these down and add them to an allow outbound target list and rule.
Also ditch Paramount+ and get Prime. Paramount+ is included

The steps above are the correct way to track and address blocks. I might be able to give you a head start, since I’ve spent a few weeks, off and on, working to get paramount+ to stream successfully. This channel is tricky since it serves ads in the paid model and it doesn’t like to be filtered. I can’t give you an exact list to allow “only paramount” since I didn’t write down which of the following “allows” were associated with paramount+ streaming or which were for another channel streaming, but these are the allow rules I enabled for my roku streaming boxes and paramount is working now.
Add these as allow rules, either for all devices or put your tvs in a group and allow for that group:
beacon.krxd.net
tiqcdn.com
kochava.com
imrworldwide.com
brightline.tv
ravm.tv
cbsavideo.comIf you put your tvs in a group it would make further troubleshooting easier. Note that not all allow rules will kick in instantly so you should be a little patient.
This assumes all filtering is done by firewalla and you haven’t taken the extra steps to enable a filtering dns service in addition to firewalla (opendns, nextdns, netnanny, etc).
