Power loss

Assuming the modem or WAN equipment is on and the purple is on, nominally i should come back to life after a few minutes.

Are you sure the WAN is now active?

It is possible, though not highly likely, that something got corrupted or a power spike killed something. Sometimes there are power spikes when power returns or when it suddenly gets cut (e.g. if  lightening hits causing the outage but also frying something along the way.

    Thanks got the response.

I'm as sure as I can be from here - a neighbour popped in and said “all the green lights are on” which would be the ONT and suggests the WAN was operational before the FWP.

Can they help you reboot the WAN side?

The LAN side of the ONT may be down ... or something is not issuing IP to the FWP.

Thanks all. I’ve managed to get them to power cycle the FWP which did the trick. I don’t know if perhaps the devices came back on after the power cut in an order which caused problems or something, but it’s all working now.
