Power loss
Hi all,
I’m away from home and know that there has been a power cut (outage) which means my FWP in router mode (and Orbi system running in AP) has been suddenly power cycled.
Everything appears to be on now but I can’t connect to the FWP and nothing at home appears to be online.
Obviously, I’m not at home so cannot investigate the issue so am depending on the goodness of neighbours who are not necessarily au fait with the equipment to check it properly.
To help me help them, is there any reason a FWP would not simply start operating as it previously was after a sudden loss of power?
Any help much appreciated as I’m in a different country and am relying on the FWP’s VPN Server, which I can obviously no longer use.
Many thanks!

Assuming the modem or WAN equipment is on and the purple is on, nominally i should come back to life after a few minutes.
Are you sure the WAN is now active?
It is possible, though not highly likely, that something got corrupted or a power spike killed something. Sometimes there are power spikes when power returns or when it suddenly gets cut (e.g. if lightening hits causing the outage but also frying something along the way.
