Bottleneck
Hi
I have a Firewalla Purple running in router mode which connects to my 1000mbps FTTP Fibre Internet connection.
The Firewalla has an Asus ZenWiFi AX mesh system connected to it and the ASUS runs in Access Point mode serving various WiFi clients.
When I do a speed test from the Firewalla I get what I would expect from my 1000mbps connection - approx 900mbps.
However, when I run a speed test from the Wifi clients connected to the ASUS Access Point, they only return approx 200mbps, even when placed next to the ASUS AP.
Is there any setting in the Firewalla that could improve this or maybe it's a setting in the ASUS AP.
Not sure where to look.
Any help or ideas appreciated.
Thanks

Likely your issue is the access point, something firewalla can't tune. You can use firewalla wifi test to isolate the testing to your LAN https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/4413511352083-Network-Performance-and-Quality-Monitoring#h_01FR7HZQF38DZ3T88YTV3WZM3W
I run above tool around the house and it helps me to figure out where to place access points

Update: I just patched 2 different computers into the Firewalla direct on the LAN port and the speed test from the laptops was very similar to the WiFi speed via the ASUS, although doing a speed test from the Firewalla app is 900mbps. Seems that the Firewalla is receiving good speeds from my fibre but not relaying it to anything connected to it's LAN port. I think this rules out the Access Point.
Maybe the Purple cannot process the packets fast enough?

are you using http://fire.walla:8833/ss/ to test on your PC??
