Other uses for WI-FI SD?

Hello,

I know that the intended use is as a failover from wired WAN to something connected to a cell hotspot.  I am wondering if there are any other interesting uses?  For example, I tested configuring it as an internal WIFI AP.  It works great, but I am not sure why it would be needed since the Firewalla app already has internal access to configure the Gold.

  We advertise this unit can be used as AP or WISP connection; It can also be used to scan wifi at layer 2, but that's something we are not doing (yet)
