Blocking a group of sites

How do I block a group of sites example i want to block *.io (not all gaming sites but just anything ending has a .extension .io)

In simple words how to include wild characters in domain name.

Bump. I see that you are having the same issue that I have with the kids and .io games. I've also noticed that using ".io" as the domain does not work, and I just have to discover the .io domains that my son figures out and block them as I find them.

Yea I am also doing the same. Thos software/device is. Very basic one. Doesn’t have many features that other firewalls provide. Cannot select two devices for one rule. Etc etc
Not worth the money.

*.io seemed to work for me, but it's a losing battle as the kids will find hole-io.com, etc.

It is fairly dangerous to block *.io or any of the really popular domains ... but it should work with the app as @charles said
