Can you install another Linux Distro?

Out of morbid curiosity and the insane urge to tinker with this device further, I want to wipe ubuntu off entirely and use a different linux distro. I know it’s quite a shocking move but I think I could probably do it if I knew the starting steps. I’m aware that it would most likely require setting up the scripts and partitions from scratch. I currently have a firewalla gold, thanks in advance!

  Firewalla will only work with the firewalla images; If you have the Gold/Gold Plus, you should be able to install other linux on it without Firewalla

  The Gold / Gold Plus are Intel x86 based boxes, all you need is flash a linux distro and boot it ... pretty standard. One warning, the best way is to run that distro on the USB stick and not fully install that on the disk inside.
