Purple and Best Compatible Mesh Network
Hello,
I'm looking to purchase the Purple or Gold and a mesh wifi system for a home network that I want to make more secure and allow family to stream, gaming, music and movies to use both ethernet and wifi on the same network. What is the best Mesh Wifi system that is compatible with Firewalla? I have a Netgear Orbi 5 and it looses connectivity often, I'm looking for a more reliable and easy to use mesh system. Any recommendations?
My current setup has a port limit of 400 mbs, so Purple or Gold is what I would need to up the LAN speed. WAN is at 1GB tested directly with Xfinity modem. Thanks!

Eero is always a good choice.
The Orbi is not bad, have you tried to reset the unit and see if it will work better? The best way is get a firewalla and use your existing orbi in AP mode. Some consumer routers are faster in AP mode. (We've also seen some of them don't implement the AP mode nicely and cause 2.4ghz issues ...)

Thanks for the info, I have reset the Orbi before but it continues to lose internet occasionally, I even read on Netgear's reviews that is common with Orbi 5. I have Zyxel USG40 for my firewall, but my throughput on the LAN is limited to 400 Mbps, but the Orbi is not set in AP mode. For the money I've spent the Orbi is not worth it, so I am also looking at Ubiquiti for wifi and Purple for firewall. My cable modem is Xfinity.
