What happens if the device loses connection to the Firewalla servers (e.g. through government actions)?

    Security intel will not update (some classifications may be less accurate) and you can only access the unit when you are on the local LAN. I don't think this matters ... since your network is offline anyway.

    OK but lack of access to Firewalla servers does not necessarily mean that the entire network is offline (unless I misunderstood you, in which case, sorry).

    But as long as the lack of access to Firewalla does not stop the device from functioning, it's cool.

    Your box should be running even there is no WAN. You can test this just pull the WAN cable.

    But, we strongly suggest you not to filter any traffic to the firewalla cloud
