About to buy Gold, want ot make sure Multi-WAN failover will work for my setup. Apricate any advice.
- I run devices ((identified by MAC, or do I need static IPs?) that I was to be on ISP 1 (primary), unless ISP 1 fails, then I want them to be on my ISP 2.
- I have devices (identified by MAC, or do I need static IPs?) that I want to be on ISP 2, unless that fails, then I want them on ISP 1.
While I've read the FAQ, and I get I can use failover, then override to the failover ISP with Policy Routes. I want those to go back to ISP 1 when ISP 2 is down.
You can create a "route" for it, so that when this WAN is down, the traffic matching the "route" will be dropped instead of failover to the back WAN.
That line worries me that if I force devices to be on the failover, and it's down, they will lose connectivity.

Traffic can match multiple things, including the device, or the destination. I assume you read the routes article already.
As of routes, we will have something 1.975 called preferred routes, https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/10221985597331-Firewalla-Box-Release-1-975-App-Release-1-52#h_01GK00PY1C41WZ3J99DX3XQ4WT
