5Gb port compatibility
I have a Nokia BGW320-505 router to support fiber service from AT&T. For the first day of ownership of my Firewalla Blue+ I was very disappointed with the performance of the device. However, upon further troubleshooting I discovered a 40-60% packet loss being experienced when communicating with the Internet. I was almost to the point of returning the device when I happened to think about the fact that I had plugged it into the 5 Gb port on the router. When I plugged into a standard 1 Gb port everything has worked like a charm!
I suspect the speed negotiation did not work properly. This may be a good tip to note somewhere in the documentation.

I have the same router. I hope to get some good advice from this thread. I just bought the Gold Plus 2.5gbps but my max speed ISP is 1gbps. Will I have any issues using the 2.5gbps with this router and my other devices? or will it just max at 1gbps if I connect a device to one of the ports?

@Junior
From the FAQ it should work. 5Gbit is pretty rare (meaning you can't find 5gbit switches, 2.5gbit you can), so not sure how compatibility is tested on those ports. If you do have a 2.5gbit, then try and see.
@Ryan, if you want, please send help@firewalla.com an email, and they probably can look at the logs and see why the connections are flopping. (I assume you have a decent cable)

I would say this is not a firewalla issue, but a potential issue with whatever equipment you would connect it to. Personally speaking, when I switched from a Firewalla Gold to a Firewalla Gold Plus, my Motorola MB8611 modem wouldn't give the 2.5gb port an IP Address, but when I plugged any 1gb device into the port, I did get an IP address, calling support didn't help and they argued it's because I only pay for a 1200mbps connection :-(, so the solution was for me just to reset the MB8611 to factory defaults and it immediately gave me an IP address for the 2.5gb port, so not a firewalla issue, but the device the firewalla plugged into.
