Firewalla VPN Client using PIA OpenVPN Configuration file?
Has anyone had recent success configuring PIA using their OVPN configuration files for the Firewalla Gold VPN Client?
If so, PIA offers several config files. Not sure which one to use. I have both Windows and Android devices on the Firewalla Gold in Router Mode.
Additionally, it looks like a line has to be added to any of these Configuration files to use their private DNS.
Configuration Files:
These configuration files use the newest servers. The differences between each set of config files are detailed below.
1. OPENVPN CONFIGURATION FILES (DEFAULT) -- These files connect over UDP port 1198 with AES-128-CBC+SHA1, using the server name to connect.
2. OpenVPN Configuration Files (Recommended Default windows only plus block-outside-dns) -- These files connect over UDP port 1198 with AES-128-CBC+SHA1, using the server name to connect.
3. OPENVPN CONFIGURATION FILES (STRONG) -- These files connect over UDP port 1197 with AES-256-CBC+SHA256, using the server name to connect.
4. OPENVPN CONFIGURATION FILES (TCP) -- These files connect over TCP port 502 with AES-128-CBC+SHA1, using the server name to connect.
5. OPENVPN CONFIGURATION FILES (STRONG-TCP) -- These files connect over TCP port 501 with AES-256-CBC+SHA256, using the server name to connect.

Yes it works, use your phone app to set up.
1. download what config you want to use on your phone from: https://helpdesk.privateinternetaccess.com/kb/articles/where-can-i-find-your-ovpn-files
2. Extract on phone to a folder.
3. Go to Create VPN Connection on firewalla app, select 3rd party.
4. VPN Protocol selected is OpenVPN, Set the following options:
a. Profile Name: PIA
b. Username: YOUR ACCOUNT NAME
c. Password: YOUR PASSWORD
d. Certificate Password: Leave Blank
e. Import from Files: Navigate to your extracted downloaded PIA file, and select what country you want.
5. Save, Start.6. Apply to whatever devices you want to go through the VPN. On the Firewalla App.
That's how I did it, and verified it works.
