Verifying mesh connection points

I figured out how to do this. When turning monitoring off for a device, the IP address will leave the FW overlay range and get an IP in the router base range. It will take a while and possibly a network reset for the device not getting monitored, but once the router acknowledges the device in the base range, it will show which mesh node it has connected to. This is very kludgey but it did allow me to verify where a device was connecting. This worked for Linksys Velop, not sure how other routers will behave.

The final solution was to return the Linksys Velop and go back to Netgear Orbi. The Orbi web page and app both work normally with the Firewalla in DHCP mode. I would recommend NOT using Velop with Firewalla because it becomes impossible to easily monitor and control the network.
