Verizon FIOS IPv6 stability
Came across a comment that Verizon was rejecting an IPv6 lease renewal if there is an IA_NA option in the request
https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r33519207-
It's odd behavior, but with that bit of information I managed to get my IPv6 connections stable on my Firewalla Purple with the following:
ssh into the firewalla
edit /home/pi/.router/config/dhcpcd6/eth0.conf
remove the line with `ia_na`
at the command prompt, run `sudo systemctl restart firerouter_dhcpcd6@eth0`
Now my IPv6 addresses properly renew and things are stable. Note if you reboot your firewalla you'll likely have to login and redo these steps as I don't believe those changes will persist
Definitely weird behavior on the part of FIOS but it would be ideal if perhaps there was a toggle/option in the app to not request an address (just the prefix) and it would be a very specific scenario for FIOS but resolved my issues.

I was having this issue on FIOS 2 or 3 years ago, and I disabled ipv6 on my WAN connection and just moved on. So years later, I am wondering if this issue was ever fixed (either on FIOS side or Firewalla)? I still have ipv6 disabled and I don't think I've had any issues, although reading on the internet it sounds bad to disable ipv6?

Fixed on the firewalla side as part of box release 1.976 and app release 1.54. You’ll see it under enhancements in the release notes:
https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/14370055835539-Firewalla-Box-Release-1-976-App-Release-1-54In the app, you’ll find the toggle switch under network, then tap on your WAN connection
Click edit in the top right and tap on the “IPv6 Connection Type” and you’ll see the toggle switch for IA_NA
