New to Firewalls, have few basic questions
Hello,
Friends computer got hacked recently and have some questions in regards to Firewalla and its uses.
Have 3 computers on my home network. One downloads crap from the internet, torrents etc. It's basically for entertainment.
One is for games, and one is for my use, where i do all sorts of regular stuff. Accessing emails, making purchases etc. The crap one is using wireless, its a laptop.
I am connected to a router. I also have a Raspberry Pi running as a PiHOLE that all of these computers point to. Im also using a vpn from one of the bigger companies.
Can i stick firewalla between my router and my gaming and regural computer to increase security? Both would be hardwared to it. Would i be able to use the VPN as well from the big company, and also use a vpn between firewalla and these two boxes? im a little confused. How would my PiHOLE fit in that picture?
And lastly, i want the best security there is, however as you noticed i do not have a lot of networking knowledge. Which firewalla should i get? I always like to buy my last product first if you know what i mean. Im running PCs in the house and some android and apple phones.
