FTP from Trusted to Untrusted LAN Problem

I have Gold and two VLANs: Trusted and Untrusted.   I can ftp to an Untrusted WiFi Router (AP) from Trusted however the 'ls' command fails but 'cd' works.  

If I put my MBP in the Untrusted LAN, ftp works fine.  I am assuming Firewalla is blocking ftp commands.   Any ideas on how I resolve this?  Thx

  What is the mode FTP server you are running? there is the passive mode and active mode

  Also, are you putting firewalls between VLAN's? (block traffic ...) 

  Also, if you can, use sftp, it is secure and also much easier to control if you are blocking

  Hi, I downloaded FileZilla to use FTP over TLS.   That solved the problem.   I allow traffic to originate from Trusted to Untrusted.   So it was probably the MacOS Firewall not liking the unsecure ftp to another LAN.
