SD card wear & Docker

I know that for Raspberry Pi's often the SD cards wear out over time and it's often recommended to install to SSD. I can see my Blue Plus has an SD card. I wonder to what extent my Firewalla has the same risk and whether I am making things worse by running Docker containers on it?
