site-to-site VPN and Apple Bonjour service

Dear Community,

I've been reading a bunch of post on forwarding bonjour broadcast over vlan's and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how I could achieve this via the new site-to-site VPN?

I have two locations; both with mainly Apple Mac resources so this would be a real game-changer if achievable.

I see that both site subnets have to be different - so I'm guessing this may be the blocker but if anyone smart out that has some ideas; I'd love to start trying to get around some of the hurdles!

  Firewalla site to site is a layer 3 VPN, so it is not able to forward bonjour broadcasts. (at least for now). Is there any reasons you want to do this?

  Hi,

  Yes - a couple of reasons - I use iMazing to backup all of the iphones/ipads via wifi and would be good if it could pickup these devices in our second home without having to put a secondary mac mini there solely for that purpose.

  It's also just the convenience of using apple screen sharing across the homes.
