Tesal App Issues
I have a Firewalla Gold and for the last couple of weeks I have been getting a "Session Expired" when I am on my WiFi network. Switching over to cell data resolve the problem and then I can switch back to WiFi and it will work fine for a 6+ hours and then go back to getting the "Session Expired". I tried logging out of the app while on WiFi and logging back in again and it just results in an error. Switching back to cell data lets me log in again.
I removed all of my custom rules/blocks and it still fails. Switching to Emergency Access again still fails.
This is the error message when trying to login in while on WiFi/Firewalla
Error Failed to Log in. Please try again later. (EUNSPECIFIED) Failed to connect to auth.tesla.com/2600:1406:e800:3a3:700:443
I tried giving auth.tesla.com bidirectional access to my phone and there was no change.
Looking for any ideas on how to debug this as I am not seeing any blocked flows in the dashboard that are Tesla related.

See if these helps
- After emergency mode is on, you need to flush DNS. (turn wifi off and on your phone)
- The problem may be related to your ISP ...
- Check DNS you are using (some DNS blocks stuff)
- Make sure you are not using VPN
If you have "traceroute", you can use that to look at where the block is happening.

>After emergency mode is on, you need to flush DNS. (turn wifi off and on your phone)
Turned on emergency, waited 5 minutes, wifi off/on, restarted a couple of times, with no change. Turned off monitoring, waited 5 minutes, WiFi off/on, restarted a couple of times no change.
>The problem may be related to your ISP ...
Seems a bit unlikely as my cellphone is using WiFi calling/data and going through my ISP also,
> Check DNS you are using (some DNS blocks stuff)
Using cloudflare 1.1.1.1
> Make sure you are not using VPN
Not using a VPN
I had a response on Reddit that suggested it might be something to do with IPV6 based on the authentication error message have an IPV6-like address. I turned off IPV6 and it resolved the problem. Does this impact just the local network or does it impact IPV6 to the Internet?

Can you double-check if you have IPv6 by going to https://ipv6test.google.com/
It is really strange that is happening. What is your ISP?

With IPV6 turned off it says ?
No problems detected. You don’t have IPv6, but you shouldn’t have problems on websites that add IPv6 support.
The same when I turned it on again. I restarted my phone again and still the same. Checking the Tesla App the Session Expired message is back. Turned IPV6 back on and Tesla App works fine again.

It looks like similar to this one:

Maybe reinstalling Tesla app can fix it?
It could be the app itself not working well with IPv6.

Uninstalling, phone restart and reinstall was one of the first things that I tried and there was no change. There are a couple of other threads on tesamotors with similar issues some going back a couple of years and one more recent. One says that you can click on the expired message and it resolves, but that doesn't work for me not sure if it is an IOS vs Android vs car difference. Have Tesla solar, with a car on order so no idea if the car interface would work or not with IPV6 enabled.
