Gold will not forget its last WAN setting
I want to switch a Gold from edge to internal router (for a while). Its current WAN setting is PPoE to an ISP. I have tried modifying that to DHCP (a configuration I have used successfully on a Purple, e.g. when travelling) . I have tried deleting the existing WAN configuration then setting up DHCP. In neither case will the new settings "take". The Gold insists on reverting to attempting to use the old PPoE setting rather than getting an address from the upstream router. The phone has been within 50 cm / a couple of feet of the router in all cases.
Short of resetting the box entirely, what can be done?
I prefer not to reset because II want to keep its existing rules and NATs because it is still covering the same subnets for now.

I get no error except failure to communicate. I have tried other, minor, settings and they too are not read by the Gold. The problem seems to be that it will not talk to either paired device, whether by Bluetooth or Internet, including having the Gold on the network while phone is on cell rather than WiFi.

As an afterthought on this, I am sure Firewalla staff would prefer to have established whether the problem was simple user error, avoidable software glitch, or deeper bug. Taking the nuclear option of re-flashing denied them potentially useful information, but I could not afford Firewalla the time to find out. Sorry, FW.

I'm in a similar situation as you. I switched ISPs from Spectrum to AT&T Fiber. Configured the AT&T router/gateway to use IP Passthrough, but for some unknown reason, the DHCP on the Firewalla WAN port is set to a Spectrum IP address. I do get Internet connectivity through the AT&T router/gateway, but the Firewalla itself does not believe it has connectivity. This also means some features are not working. Speedtest from the Firewalla for example fails to run successfully. I do not know what else to try except to reflash. I'm encouraged to do so since it worked for you.
