When you use the "edit" button to change WAN configuration and save, do you see any errors?

    No.

Minutes ago I tried resetting, which failed. I will re-flash the box.

What kind of errors are you getting while reset? Usually in cases above we can fix the software inside (if it is a software issue), and no need to reset or flash

I get no error except failure to communicate. I have tried other, minor, settings and they too are not read by the Gold.  The problem seems to be that it will not talk to either paired device, whether by Bluetooth or Internet, including having the Gold on the network while phone is on cell rather than WiFi.

By the way, instructions for reset involve only using the app. Does not the reset button on the box have a function?

The "reset" button on the gold is really a reboot ... we renamed in some of the later units.

    Resolved.

I re-flashed the box and reconfigured successfully.

As an afterthought on this, I am sure Firewalla staff would prefer to have established whether the problem was simple user error,  avoidable software glitch, or deeper bug. Taking the nuclear option of re-flashing denied them potentially useful information, but I could not afford Firewalla the time to find out. Sorry, FW.

I'm in a similar situation as you. I switched ISPs from Spectrum to AT&T Fiber. Configured the AT&T router/gateway to use IP Passthrough, but for some unknown reason, the DHCP on the Firewalla WAN port is set to a Spectrum IP address. I do get Internet connectivity through the AT&T router/gateway, but the Firewalla itself does not believe it has connectivity. This also means some features are not working. Speedtest from the Firewalla for example fails to run successfully. I do not know what else to try except to reflash. I'm encouraged to do so since it worked for you.

Interesting it appears to have happened to someone else, Davemac. While reflashing is just a bunch of steps, it should not be necessary routinely and I am sure Firewalla will be interested if you have time for them to take a look (unlike I had).
