Blocking VPN

I had been trying to find ways to block some VPN that does not put any log into firewalla network flow. Touch VPN and Ultrasurf are example of them. Any update of capability of blocking VPN?

  Some VPNs will try their best to hide, have you seen anything with larger flow transfers for devices? usually, those are easier to detect. 

  * Tap on the main line graph

  * then select download or upload (upload best) then see what is transferring

  It doesn't show anything that matches the amount of data is being used. The chart shows about 240 mb downloaded by the highest I see in the download tab is a little under 13 mb followed by 7 mb then 3 mb.

  Edit: I'll have to check upload and see what I can get and post an update.

  Which firewalla are you using? and which mode?

  I'm using firewalla gold in router mode. I experimented yesterday that using ultrasurf does not put any log into the router that could locate what is going in or out. It also gives some random addresses but from looking around, I think it is using the computer to be masked first before going to the router. I also experimented that it is not gaming, video or social media category.

  I'm having the same issues with UltraSurf with a Purple in Router mode. The logs point to a bunch of different nodes addresses that it bounces from very quickly but it's using a more sophisticated tech than standard VPNs.

  Are there any plans to have include tools that could help with ultrasurf?
