unbound full reset

is there a solution to doing a full reset on unbound? or should i wipe my firewalla again
seems to be a common thing after a few months unbound fails to obtain new ips.
switching to dns over https fixes
going back to unbound it will only last a day or so before it stuffs up and fails to deliver ip in lookup
im not noticing wrong ips. it just returns none
i have had this issue time and time again and usually wipe to fix
