ipv6 troubles and Ting internet
Hello,
I believe Ting internet has just recently enabled ipv6 support for their services. I all of a sudden started having problems loading apps on my android phone on my home network like ecobee, gasbuddy and pictures not loading on usps emails. After much troubleshooting, I was finally able to determine that if I disabled ipv6 in my firewalla, all of these gremlins disappear and things start working. Further troubleshooting I found that if I disabled IA_NA under ipv6 WAN settings, most of these things will work as normal. However, I just recently discovered that gasbuddy does not, and I had an issue where I was unable to reauthenticate Microsoft Phone Link until I disabled ipv6 again.
I don't have anything on my network that requires ipv6, but I don't necessarily want to disable it all together to avoid future issues of adding things to my network that might require ipv6.
From my research, this may be caused by misconfigured or incomplete IPv6 DNS infrastructure on GasBuddy's back-end servers which I am sure most likely relates to the other apps I have problems with too.
What I am wondering is
1) Is anyone else having similar issues
2) Is there a way in Firewalla to block ipv6 protocol to certain domains like gasbuddy.com so it forces ipv4?
Is there any other settings that I might be missing that don't involve just shutting off ipv6 all together?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have spent a LOT of time troubleshooting this.
Thanks in advanced!
John
