TONS of Active Protect Rules
Active protect seems to have gone a little crazy. It has setup 2969 rules. That seems pretty crazy to me.
1. Does having that many rules affect performance?
2. If so, should I remove them?
3. Is there a way to remove them w/o having to do it one by one?

1. That many rules should not be affect performance ... Your box can have a lot more.
2. You should not remove them, they are there, because something on your network is activity triggering them.
3. Same as (2)
Can you look at the alarms that trigger these rules? if they are indeed getting triggered, then you may want to look deeper at the application first.
