Consider returning the modem/router to Spectrum in exchange for a cable modem only. And then use your own router

    Thanks for your suggestion.

If I got the Purple and plugged it into the spectrum router, what options would I have?

    Hello All,

Any update with the Purple? I am also in the same situation as @Afarr83.  I recently purchased the Purple and have Spectrum.  I am using the Modem and Router combo provided by Spectrum.  I, too, have limited access to configuring the router.  I would like to keep the same set up I currently have on my home network.  Should I consider returning the Purple with a different device that would work with Spectrum's Modem/Router?

    Thank you in advance.

    Firewalla

If you have the purple, the best mode is still. using router mode or the bridge mode. See https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411167832851-Firewalla-Router-Mode-Configuration-Guides

With firewalla as your router, you will get a lot more features (for example smart queue, multi-wan...) than your existing modem.
