What mode Firewalla set to? How do you have things configured?

    Hello Michael

and thanks for your time.  Firewalla did not provide an option for the mode, so I assume it's setup as simple mode.  As for "configured", I did not change anything.  so.. the Firewalla Blue Plus is the default that it came with..  My first test was to see if I could access anything on the internet.. , then all the devices stopped communicating as if the internet was shut down.  Rebooted the MG 8702, then the Firewalla.  When the router came up, all was ok.. until firewalla began flashing.. then nothing...

    any thoughts?

No worries. To see what mode you are in, go to the firewalla app under Monitoring and see what it says.

It sounds like there is a conflict between firewalla and the router. Both could be have DHCP running. I can't find any information on the MG8702 and shutting off DHCP. You might check with Motorola support or your ISP to see if that is possible. Second best is to use this approach https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009259414-Setup-Guide-Routers-that-are-not-able-to-turn-off-DHCP-Service

If that fails, maybe simple mode.

Interestingly enough.. here is what I found...

-if I am directly connected to the router, I can access the internet with no issue no matter if Firewalla is monitoring or not.

If I turn off monitoring, ALL devices on the network can access the internet and talk to each other.

Once I turn on Monitoring (in Simple mode as it turns out), ALL devices (including my Iphone using Firewalla app) stops.. In other words, when I activate Firewalla, I can't use the app ....lol...

I am looking at DHCP mode you provided to see if I can do anything...

I do see on the router that I can disable the DHCP Server

    The settings are:

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    DHCP Server: Enabled

Starting Address of the Local Pool: 192.168.0.10

Number of Addresses in the local pool: 50

Lease time of addresses in pool(seconds) : 604800

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

I have to look into what happens if DHCP is disabled....

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks again....

It appears disabling DHCP on the Router (DHCP Server Disabled), then putting Firewalla in DHCP mode is the trick...

    Thanks again for your help!!
