Did your reverse proxy ever change IP address? was the IP static? also if the reverse proxy is a virtualized box, do you know if it changed MAC?

The reverse proxy is a docker container on a bare metal linux machine running headless. The machine is assigned by DHCP but with a reserved address which it still has. I think the MAC is the real physical address of the network card for the machine that has no reason to change, but I’m not 100% on that. The machine does run unattended upgrades so I suppose the MAC could have changed, but the firewalla still recognizes the machine with the name I gave it and assigns it the reserved IP so I don’t think so.

Appreciate your thoughts and reply. I’m mildly suspicious and posted about this because the firewalla box updated to 1.982 (71808c44) the day before I noticed the behavior. Its just my family that uses the reverse proxy so ~30 hours to realize that its only accessible on LAN and not accessible from WAN is expected.

Let me create a ticket for you, so we can double-check it. You probably want to double check the physical MAC on that box and see if it changed or not and let support folks know. They are pretty good to make sure your system is sane for many years to come :)
