Just enrolled and it's pretty cool to manage my family's boxes, i.e. non-business.  I'm just worried that it will be cost prohibitive since I'm not a business.  I have one gold, two blue pluses, and two purples I haven't put online yet and convinced my brother to buy a purple who hasn't put his online yet either. I was expecting something for something similar for power users and not a business.

Please let us know if you like the interface.

As of the cost, it will likely take a while to get the pricing down, the early access will help us to scale the system; But, our engineers really want this to work for small / home networks, so they will do their absolute best to ensure everyone is covered.

Rule aren’t showing target lists in the default view.  You have to click the rules and then you can see the target list name.  It seems to be doing this for rules using OISD and Tor nodes, neither of which show up as target lists in the MSP interface.

Any chance to get blue supported as well? This is exactly what I am looking for: extended logging and analytics. Hopefully at an affordable price point for home users as well (limited number of devices, functionality or retention time)...

Thanks.  On a related note, I’d like to know if there’s a way to migrate or copy target lists into the MSP interface that I had previously setup.

I’m also curious if the individual target lists will still be there if/when I move boxes out of the MSP interface.

My FWG in router mode shows in the MSP that it was last seen yesterday at 4:47AM.  I don't know if it's related or not, but I'm not able to click on alarms and see alarm details.  I see the alarms, but when clicking on them the right column says "No alarm detail found".

Also, when clicking on alarms in the iOS app to see details the app crashes.  Running early access on the box (1.9740) and my phone (1.50 (47)).

Thanks, @Matt. Our engineers are looking into the issue. It isn’t isolated to your box.

@matt can you try removing the box from MSP and re-add it to MSP?

Your instances should all be updated to support API's. We are still working on this article, but it should be useful for you to start something.

If we wanted to resell MSP services using Firewalla, is there better pricing for volume. And is there potential to easily download a VPN installer for MacOS, and Windows that can have the specific VPN tunnel for customers ease of use?

Will there be a process where we order firewalls, if we can will Firewalla source them and ship directly to customer? Or will there be a cloud firewall option?

    @shyam

It is too early to talk about selling the MSP at the moment. likely we will work on some things once the early access is over.

As of your second question, it is highly possible for us to create a model where units are shipped from us and directly to your customers, then automatically provisioned with your policies. It is not there yet, but if this is required, we can build it.

If the two boxes I want to put in the MSP are connected via a Site to Site VPN, does that change how it works or how I need to manage them when it comes to target lists or groups?

There should be no difference for site-to-site connected boxes.

For target list, you will have to create target list again at MSP level, and we will support migrating target lists from box to MSP.

    Same for groups.

Are their any possibility in the future for Blue to be added in MSP?

No, the blue system memory is already pretty full.

I presume MSP with a single device will be free? The only thing I want is Webhook/Slack/IFTTT Integration and the API.

It would feel very wrong to build my own Home Assistant integration only to later be charged for the privilege to extract data from my own hardware, so I hope you don't do that.

The MSP services will not be free. Amazon charges us $$$ to host the containers, plus building these things also costs engineering $.

Since we do have a lot more none MSP users using the MSP interface, we may create a different tier (cheaper) for normal users. For example, today's MSP infra is fairly redundant, normal users may not need it ...

Yeah, I just want to create switches in Home Assistant, so I can click on "Adblock" in my Home Dashboard or say to Siri "Turn off adblock" and it toggles on/off, and to export very simple data like current bandwidth usage.

This is a good example of data exportable freely from OPNSense at least and imported to Home Assistant, I don't think I should have to pay a monthly fee to export the same data from my Firewalla.

Can we do syslog forwarding on current Firewalla firewalls?

Yes. You can set up syslog server with firewalla  https://gist.github.com/mbierman/f3d184b65e0f4de6fa75a4a5d5145426

So to be clear, it is possible but it’s not as simple as a setting in the GUI like with other products. I think there is a feature request for it somewhere. It should be easy as all the pieces already exist on the system (namely - syslog-ng).

Have you tried to use the api's? they can export a lot more data ... syslogs are pretty boring, it doesn't have a lot of things needed to manage security.
