Blocked client device will not reappear

I have a client device that has a permanent block on it so I can grant access when I want to.  We went on vacation with the device off, now it has disappeared from the client list, both in the group it was in as well as the overall list.  I have had the device on for several hours and even restarted the Firewalla and it won't show up.  Device cannot get to the edge router because Firewalla is blocking it and I can't remove the block because Firewalla will not show the device.  How can I force Firewalla to show the device and how can I prevent this from happening again?

I am running Firewalla Gold in bridge mode.

  I figured it out right after I made this post.  I enabled Emergency Access in the rules and that allowed the device to connect all the way to the internet.  The device appeared in the Firewalla immediately and works again.
