Allow Rule - Local Network between IoT HA server & File Server

Hi Firewalla team & users

Can anyone confirm what I am trying to do is possible or not?

I have two VLANs, one with a home assistant server and the other with a SMB file server.
I'd like to open a port from home assistant server to the file server so backups can be made.

None of the Allow rules I have tried allow me to use the file server device name as its domain name for a rule so I have had to default to entering an IP address instead 192.168.1.***,tcp:445.
These are are the domain forms I have tried.
fcsvr01.dnprime,tcp:445
.dnprime - my DNS Search Domain for the network that the file server is on
.local
.lan
.home
.intranet
.internal

Is it possible to the DNS device name rather than IP to allow VLAN cross-talk?

  Hi there, 

  It is currently not possible to use a local domain name in an allow rule. But let me forward this to our dev team, and we'll see if we can enhance this feature in the future. Thanks!
