FWG SE: Need help! WAN IP Down and Firewall Offline a LOT recently!
I'm a newbie to the Firewalla world. After a lot of research I purchased a Gold SE in August and loved the ease of setup! I've been told I'm somewhat tech savvy, but networking is a whole new beast for me! I'm learning slowly, but surely.
Everything was going rather smoothly (except for the Bluetooth not always connecting) recently I'm receiving a LOT of notifications for WAN ISP down and yesterday a notification for FW Offline 3 times! Each time I had to unplug and plug back in either the FW or a combination of Cable Modem and FWG SE.
At first I thought this was isolated - our ISP was working in the area and there were a couple outages due to repair work. However, before the repair work I had seen that the ISP went down in the middle of the night. I contacted my ISP to inquire about the downtime and they told me that there is no record of an outage on their end.
Then the ISP repair work in our area occurred for two days in a row. Thought the issue was isolated to that. I used the FireAI assistant and followed suggestions - I have since replaced the ethernet cable provided with the cable modem with a new shielded CAT6A to ensure a quality cable was attached between the Modem and FWG SE in Router Mode. I also replaced an old ethernet cable that wasn't in great shape with a new CAT6A one because I've been receiving messages about internet speed changes on LAN2.
However, yesterday the issue persists! I received a notification Firewalla Offline 3x throughout the day. After I went to bed last night apparently the ISP went down again for over 20 minutes Each event typically has a High Packet loss detected in the event log alongside the disconnect and restore time stamps. Not always - but pretty consistently.
I also noticed that these issues have happened after the FW update. Perhaps a coincidence?
I read somewhere if the bluetooth doesn't work - it never shows on my iPhone it's connected to the FW :( I should reset to factory settings - I've really been avoiding this.
However, I just purchased the AP7 and was excited to finally have wifi for the first time since mid July! Since these issues have started I'm reluctant to introduce my AP7 into these instabilities. Any help is much appreciated!! I hope I explained everything to make sense.
Just as I was getting ready to hit submit - it went offline again :(

The network health events are a indication of your WAN side is not stable. It is unlikely to be related to your LAN side. The area to focus on is your WAN (ISP). Since you mentioned that construction is underway in your area, it's best to ask them if the network is stable or not.
Here is a quick article that may be able to help you out https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360053534593-How-do-I-debug-network-connectivity-issues

Thank you! I checked out the article provided. Since then ISP says Internet has been restored.
I lost the Internet connection about 30 min later due to Internet connection lost message. I have been viewing other help articles since I posted my initial question here. When network diagnostics is running and I'm having this issue I get the Ping and DNS failed.
I restarted my Netgear Cable Modem (not ISP provided) and that seems to resolve the issue for a while. I have adjusted the Ping to 1.1.1.1 as the help article had suggested as it was originally set to point to the ISP's DNS.
When I previously inquired last week with same issue the ISP said that there was a good connection on their end and there was nothing they could see. Is there something in particular I should be asking them to look for and check? On a side note: I have the Netgear Cable modem and a smart managed switch attached to the FWG SE.
Another article mentioned something about a switch possibly causing an issue. Everything has been hardwired with ethernet up to now - I have not installed an AP yet!
