Should we consider Firewalla a security device? What expectations should we have?
I appreciate you are a small org and not Cisco. I love a lot of Firewalla and cut it slack as a new system ... however ... given the steady increase in cyber attacks and the prospects of the first global cyberwar, I'd like to understand how much priority you are giving this relative to other devices.
"Deep packet inspection" is a bit of a mystory (yes, read the articles.) New threats surface daily that even may go to the hardware level (e.g. https://www.cisa.gov/uscert/ncas/current-activity/2022/02/28/broadcom-software-discloses-apt-actors-deploying-daxin-malware)
Obviously there are things to do to protect our home network using the routing capabilities but please help us have realistic expectations about the level of protection you provide - and what else we should do ... eg. get another device or some enhancement.
I purchased the Gold because my ISP is about 1000 Mbps and I get great throughput.
Please prioritize automatic, deep packet inspection with quick patches during these difficult times or let us know what to expect! Thanks for your great/hard work!

First, we do not believe cyber security is an on or off thing, it is evolving and like securing your home in the physical world, will change due to the risks you are encountering. Meaning, each person is different, each family and business is different, and personal beliefs are different.
As one of our wise mentors said long ago,
