    It should be

Modem <--> Purple SE WAN port ----> LAN port --> Orbi in bridge mode (or your switch)

Most of the time, purple SE should be in router mode and DHCP to your modem.

here is the guide for router mode: https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411167832851-Firewalla-Router-Mode-Configuration-Guides

    Thank you for your help.

I setup the purple SE as directed but it's now showing no internet connection, No IP address.

Did I do something wrong? Could you Please help me correct the problem?

What is the status light color? did you reboot the modem before connecting the firewalla? Does your ISP lock down MAC address of the router?

My phone is not connecting to internet, so every time I communicate with you, I have to disconnect the firewalla and connect my modem into the router and reboot everything.

If there is no status light and you have LAN/WAN connected, it means you do have internet connection via the firewalla. What you can do is go near the Firewalla, tap on network button, tap on the "diagnose" button on the bottom and see what it says.

edit: I assume you finished pairing?

You do not need to remove the app and reinstall. If you did that, do you see your firewalla instance? if not, you will need to pair again.

Anyway, I have created a ticket for you, so we can follow up faster.

I have a question, no were in the instructions does it say that the modem is connected into the LAN port of the firewalla. I have been connecting my modem into the NAT port when installing the setup. Should the modem not be plugged in?

Your MODEM will always connect to the WAN port of the Firewalla. And your LAN switch/AP, connect to the Firewalla LAN's port.

(I have not seen a NAT port,  and not sure what that is)

I see in your case, you already paired and now asking about VPN servers, so your initial issue is resolved?

I would like to thank you for all your help getting me through the install process. now that I have the app installed and working, I would like to set up a client VPN to hide my information.

Can I setup FireWalla to hide my location and computers without using a 3rd- party VPN? If so, can someone please help me or point me to where I can?

You can't setup firewalla to hide your location, that will always require another server some where. (your friend house, 3rd party VPN ...)
