My TV is scanning ports in network

Hello, Is it normal that my Sony Android TV is scanning ports from time to time? Should i block something? Or make a rule ? If so how to ?

  I have a Synology NAS doing the same.

  I am by no means an expert in this, but my best guess is that our respective devices are searching (scanning) for / advertising it as a Media system (probably DLNA).

  The message in the Firewalla app, I wish it would be more detailed. Like, which ports were scanned as well as typical services on these ports. It should be a low hanging fruit and the alarm really needs more detail for us, in order to determine if this is expected or unwanted behavior.

  Probably you're right - it's android tv, and I'm just curious becouse of recent iot hijacking therefore im interested to Max secure my network

  I am totally with you.

  My point is that we need more insight from the alarm to be able to determine if this is because of a feature activated/embedded in our devices, that will help us determine if we want to allow it or block it :-)
