If you put firewalla in router mode, then you will have this

Cloud Gateway in router mode -> Firewalla in router mode -> other stuff

This means you will be under double NAT; since modern hardware is fairly fast, you shouldn't have much of a performance issue. Maybe a bit inconvenient that you may need a double port forward.

So Gateway I can't run in bridge, unless I remove it. So if Firewalla in bridge after the Gateway is ok, that's how it is currently BUT app says not seeing network although my entire network is working through the Firewalla - anything I should look at for remedy ?

Can you describe the problem a bit? For example, which app says not seeing which network? Are you using things like VLAN?

I have my gateway into the firewall port 4 and switches into firewall. I can see my network and all working. Using Android phone and Firewalla app I add, scan barcode, then it searches but about 5 mins later says cannot find network

I currently have Firewalla Purple in router mode (with DHCP turned on) connected to an Asus broadband router.

I just bought a Dream Router 7 to replace the Asus. However, the Dream Router 7 has far more features, including IDS/IPS, VLANs, etc.

Any recommendations as to how to optimize this?

WAN -> Purple -> Dream Router 7 -- a good setup, with double IDS/IPS enabled? Where should I move the DHCP server?

    Help.

First, I don't think (may be I am biased) the dream router will not match the firewalla IDS/IPS; Firewalla has VLAN's as well.

There is no real good way to layer two routers together and still have things running with full visibility.
