D-link covr-x1870 router/mesh compatability

has anyone been able to get the D-Link covr-x1870 working is router mode on the firewalla gold?

Ive tried DHCP & simple mode & i keep on getting an error on both of these stating the internet is not connected on the firewalla gold?

You should put the covr-x1870 in AP/bridge mode, and then connect to the firewalla gold's LAN side. Is this what you are doing?

The Covr-x1870 is a router/mesh system that only has router mode & extender mode, It has no AP or bridge mode.

What's extender mode? does it get IP from the main router? if it is, then it may be the AP/bridge mode
