VLAN setup with managed switch, and AP on switch ports.
hello all,
hoping someone can help.
I have a managed tplink switch (TL-SG1210MPE) i have connected to my firewalla gold.
Anything i connect to the switch gets an IP and works fine.
But i also want to connect some wifi tplink access points (EAP615-Wall) to the switch which allow vlan, but when i connect to the access points i get no IP assigned and none of the connected devices show up in firewalla.
I am wanting to using VLAN on the access points which are connected to the TPLINK Switch.
The managed switch, i also want to have some VLAN setup on only some of the ports.
Is this possible, to have 3 layers of VLAN....
Firewalla ( has the VLANs created with IDs )
--> Switch ( VLAN IDs assigned on some ports )
-----> APs ( VLANs assigned on different SSIDs )

It is possible. I too have TP-Link APs. Take a look at this post and see if it helps
