Won't setting a rule to block P2P help your case?

This is pretty much an impossible task ... unless you know the specific sites that you want to block. The reason for the complexity is, things like p2p will hide data with multiple streams and it is not even easy for service providers to identify that traffic ...

Also, a lot of people will use VPN's/Proxy's when torrenting, most people who are leaching movies are savvy enough to know this as their ISP might block the sites which host torrents/magnet links etc. You can block VPN use with a rule on FW but here isn't a chance in hell you will be able to see what that VPN tunnel is doing on the FW unless there is data/DNS leaks on the VPN app.

You could also try and monitor bandwidth usage, if someone is downloading a movie, say it was 4gb, then more often or not the machine downloading the movie will rinse your bandwidth, and you should see usage spikes.

Another possible route would be to use DoH DNS with a custom server that supports DNS filtering of P2P, etc. This won't necessarily stop the torrents if already downloading, but it will help stop people getting onto the sites that list the torrents. Some useful links for servers here:

    Hope this helps!
