PLEX Media Server As Docker
Hey all, Im rather new to this concept, But I learn rather quickly, But first I wanted to see if this was even possible first. The Goal here is to run PLEX Media Server as a docker on my FW GOLD, I have a "HELM" Email & File server setup in my home and would like to add my media to it, and be able to Run the PLEX on the Firewalla, any recommendations ? Tips? Warnings ? Im also going to Inquire with The Server provider Helm, as well as Nextcloud for possible integration !

Not a big plex user myself, but I would shy away from it because of concerns about RAM (Plex say it needs about 2G), CPU (Plex say, "If your computer’s CPU is not powerful enough to keep up with transcoding your media, you will notice pausing or buffering as the app waits for the server to catch up." and, "By far, the biggest limitation that most users will encounter is that most consumer NAS devices don’t have very powerful CPUs. In some cases, the device will run on an ARM-based processor that’s not capable of transcoding content at all. Other times, it may run on an Intel processor that’s technically capable of transcoding, but the processor may be too slow to transcode fast enough for most uses." https://support.plex.tv/articles/201373793-is-plex-media-server-on-a-nas-right-for-me/
I can't say it won't work, but I wouldn't want to tax Firewalla from its main task and I wouldn't want to suffer any video buffering from Plex.
