Asus XT8's Bridge Mode with FWG - Is this setup right?
I'm setting up my wifi in my new home soon and needed some clarification on how to set up my internet before linking all my IoT devices.
This is what I had in mind after reading through the materials available online.
Modem > FWG (Router Mode) > Asus XT8 (setup in Bridge Mode and as the main)
> Switch > Asus XT8 node #1 / #2 / #3 (all through ether net ports in each room)
Will have a NAS connected directly to the FWG as well.
Is this set up correct? the network SSID will still need to be done by logging into Asus router not FWG yea?
Apologies for the noobish question, im fairly new to networking.

This part is good
Modem > FWG (Router Mode) > Asus XT8 (setup in Bridge Mode and as the main)
> Switch > Asus XT8 node #1 / #2 / #3 (all through ether net ports in each room)And if you want to attach a NAS, attach it close to devices that's using the NAS. For example, you have PC/Phone always connected to the XT8 network, then put the NAS on the switch is the best place.

Be aware that the ASUS XT8’s don’t support VLANs in AP or router mode, and so some of the more advanced FWG tricks can’t be used.
I use the setup mentioned above: modem > FWG > ASUS XT8 base station; andASUS XT8 base station > ASUS private WiFi6 Backhaul > XT8 satellite > NAS (Ethernet into XT8 satellite).
